The High Strung

I’ve been playing with the High Strung since around 2000. Most of us met when we were ten, eleven years old. Derek (drums) and Chad (bass) were already playing back then. Mark (singer/songwriter) and I (singer/songwriter) didn’t start playing till much later. One of the many life-paths we didn’t see coming; when you find yourself in a crazy, unchartered place and thank the heavens for being there. Stephen (guitar) joined in 2010 or so. Working on a new album now. I’d love for it to be a double-album collection of science fiction stories but you know, things seem to turn out as they will, rather than planned.”

The High Strung wrote and perform the theme song for the hit Showtime show ‘Shameless’ starring William H. Macy.
